GUIDELINES FOR ALL WRITTEN WORK & SAMPLE TITLE PAGE

All papers and other writing projects for courses in the department of Dance & Theatre must be submitted on time. Missing class on a due date does not confer an automatic extension. Be sure your paper is delivered to class or to the department office when it is due unless other arrangements have been made. Failing grades will be entered for late papers and averaged into the grade should the instructor choose to accept the work. 

Papers must have a cover page (see next page) and must be stapled or bound in lightweight report binders or they will not be accepted. Insert page numbers.

Additional or alternative information may be required for special purposes. (Copyright information for original plays, screenplays, etc.)

Notes on the title page:
UPPER RIGHT CORNER identifies the assignment number and kind (Visions reaction paper, term paper, research project, etc.) and status (first draft, etc.) if applicable. Under that, the due date. If the paper is late write and initial (under the due date) the date you turn in the paper;

CENTER, the title of your paper (SHAKESPEARE'S BROTHER: A GLOVE UPON THAT HAND, for example) and under that, your name;

The LOWER RIGHT CORNER provides ACCURATE contact information in the event there is some need to reach you during the grading period.

Add course number and title (DTH 3025 Greek Drama, for example) and the Instructor’s name.

FOOTNOTES AND CITATIONS
A reminder: all sources, (books, newspapers, video, internet, etc.), used in papers, research or other writing projects must be fully credited in bibliographic notes and by appropriate citation where quotes or paraphrases appear. Please review the college and department policies and acceptable formats on use of sources. 

STATEMENT OF AUTHENTICITY AND PROTECTION AGAINST PLAGIARISM:  Include the following signed statement at the end of every paper:

I hereby affirm that this paper represents my own work and is free from undocumented sources.
