GROUP PROJECTS

In addition to providing opportunities that students can individually participate in, the Duchesne Center also makes available open dates for student groups to serve together in a volunteer program and/or learning experience. Student group members new to the Duchesne Center should register themselves through the online volunteer portal and log their hours online after each experience.

Your participation in extra-curricular activities enhances your college experience and can be incorporated into your Portfolio.

Who Can Participate?

Student Clubs such as the Student Government Association (SGA), International Student Organization (ISO) and TriBeta

Class groups, Athletic sports team

Religious groups such as the Muslim Student Association (MSA) and Jewish Student Association (JSA)

Office-related groups such as Resident Assistants (RAs), the Connie Hogarth Center, C-STEP, and MAP/HEOP

Setting Up a Group Experience (Submit Online Request)

  1. Review the current semester calendar to identify possible service opportunities and dates.  Groups may sign-up for dates far in advance.

  2. Appoint a group leader to complete the form below on behalf of the entire group.  To ensure fair access to all groups, a single group may participate in up to two (2) opportunities per semester.  First come, first served!

  3. Once you have signed up, the Duchesne Center will send a confirmation email to the group contact person who should confirm their interest in this timeframe, their spot will be forfeited and the next waitlisted group will be contacted.

  4. To begin building your service resume, each participant is required to register themselves, if they have not already done so, and log their hours online through the volunteer portal.
