Purpose:

To support professionals in the social sciences and humanities, including economics, international affairs, government/politics, and philosophy

Eligibility:

  • Individual should be professionally established and associated with educational or research institutions
  • Supported efforts should lead to advancement of knowledge through teaching, learning, and publication

Limitations:

No grants for capital, building, or endowment funds, operating budgets, continuing support, annual campaigns, seed money, emergency funds, deficit financing, or matching gifts; no loans.

Grants range from $500 to $20,000; average $8,000

DEADLINES:

Ongoing; applications should be submitted no less than120 days before commencement of project work period
