H
istory Alumni Barbeque 2005

For the seventh consecutive year, the traditional History Alumni Barbeque was held in Dammann-Tenney courtyard, this time on an overcast day, April 30th.  Over 200 people attended, including Peter Rotolo '00, doing penance for last year's absence, along with sidekick Dan Buonomo '00, thus permitting a new "Dan/Pete" photo (in "Chronicle of the Old Guard"); the class of '98 was also back in good numbers.  Despite the off-and-on rain we carried on. and even had fun doing it.  Another 150 History Department T-shirts were sold, including the classic ("The Few, the Proud, the Literate"), plus the 2005 edition, "Feel The Power." For the second consecutive year, the "Afterparty" followed the main event, till c. 9 P.M., this time featuring among other things the piano-bar Billy Joel imitation of Michael Bonavita '98.  The poker tournament was new in 2005.

To get something grilled, put the Canadians in charge--you too, Bill--
Idaho's almost in Canada, right?

Bill Foulds & his groupies, including Colorado's own Kin Hayden (far right).  The Pride of Nipigon, Ont. has finally seen the light & made History his minor, following Kim's lead.  Way to go, Kim!

Dan Wynne & Pete Macri, Class of 2000, just like back in the days of JFK Catholic HS under the guidance of Coach Bob Kasmire (BA, History, '92) & MVILLE....

Rain?  Part of the day...but just something to cope with for the all-smiles historically-minded troupers.  Anyway, the rain went away.

Wade Richardon '05 & History Club President Stephanie Rein '05 helped make it all happen--& later, the "Canadian graduation party," too...

New Tradition:  The stakes of the indoor poker game for those who are warming up for fall's History Club Poker Tournament.

Old Guard members loyally gather despite threatening skies: Giff Degan, Officer Michael McCann NYPD, Dan Buonomo, Donna Silverstein, & Jackie Flynn.

Will Jason Murfitt (center) be the next Canadian to follow the true path to History?

History majors C. J. Heitner & Marshall Green--send in the clowns?  Thanks, Marshall, for your donations to the cause & good luck in your next poker tournament, not that you need it....

John DiBetta (center) makes an unusual use of his new History T-shirt as he braves the elements.

F.I.T. was OK, but J. R. Fallon (center) has seen the light & come home to Purchase, welcomed by fellow History guys, teammates & friends Travis Hyatt (left) and Mark Barrer.

Yes, Angelina (second from left), we're putting your picture on the website!
You, too, Andy (far right), since you're finally taking some History next fell.
There's still time to see the light, you know--let A.V. show you.
