Professor Mohamed Mbodj was named a Full Professor in December by the Trustees.  He continued to serve as Chair of African Studies.  During intersession he attended the American Historical Association convention in Philaddelphia.  For the second consecutive year he led a cultural study tour to the northeastern part of Brazil during spring break.
