Jon was raised in Westport, Connecticut where he attended Fairfield Prep before moving to Maplecrest, New York. While at Prep, Jon was on the wrestling team and a member of the political awareness club. After moving to Maplecrest, he attended Windham Ashland Jewett Central School where he became a student representative on the student council. He also played varsity soccer, baseball, and was the captain of the basketball team. When tropical storm Irene devastated his hometown of Windham, Jon and his peers were among the group of volunteers ehelping rebuild his community. Jon intends to serve his country in the military before pursuing law school.
Mykaylla Vederoff

Mykaylla is a native Seattleite. In high school she pursued her interest in drama, performing in several school plays and studying at a local conservatory during the summer. She was able to attend the Ashland Oregon Shakespeare Festival also had the opportunity to visit Stratford-Upon-Avon and spend a week studying with the Royal Shakespeare Company and watching some of their productions. She also attended an International Leadership Conference in Seattle's sister city, Kobe, through the Seattle YWCA. Mykaylla played varsity softball for four years on her school team. In her spare time when not studying, she participated in several social action clubs.
While at Manhattanville, Mykaylla hopes to begin her study of the law. Eventually, she hopes to be able offer services to those people that are under-served or under-represented in her community. In addition she plans to create a theater program for children with autism by using some of the drama exercises she has learned to encourage self-expression and communication.
