The Manhattanville College Library is hosting a series of interesting faculty lectures on topics ranging from trade relations to instructional technology.
The Spring 2005 series highlights faculty projects, and gives the campus and local community the opportunity to learn more about Manhattanville’s rich intellectual life. The lectures are free and open to the public and are held in the College Library, 2900 Purchase Street.
Spring lectures are as follows:
Wednesday, March 16, Trans-Atlantic Trade Disputes and the World Trade Organization, presented by Kwan Ha Yim, Ph. D. Dr. Yim, now an American citizen, is a native of Korea and a long-time faculty member in the Political Science and Legal Studies Department at Manhattanville College.
Wednesday, March 23, with Gerard F. Kiernan, Ph. D., professor of Math and Computer Science. The title of Dr. Kiernans lecture is Using New Technology to Show How New Technology can be Used in the Classroom.
On Wednesday, April 6 , Binita Mehta, Ph.D., Assistant Professor and Chair of the French Department, will present a lecture entitled, Connecting Curriculum Development with Teaching and Research.
On Wednesday, April 13, learn more about the Manhattanville-Edison Professional Development School Partnership (PDS). The speakers will be professors Kathleen D. Rockwood, Ed.D., and JoAnne Ferrara, Ed.D.of Manhattanville's School of Education, along with two team members from Edison School.
