COURSE DESCRIPTION - This repeatable independent laboratory course is a continuation of the senior research project. It is primarily designed for those students who are off sequence in the research program, for those students who need to repeat one of the courses in the sequence, or those students who begin their project in the Sophomore year and want to continue through their senior year. This course should be taken in the fall semester and the content of the course depends on the level of research. Credits: 3

TIMETABLE:

The following requirements (typed) are due on the dates below.  These are deadlines, not guidelines. Your grade depends on strict adherence to them.

To replace Bio 3002 - Research Seminar:

The following requirements (typed) are due on the last day of class:

  • Title page - working title of your thesis (should reflect your major question or statement)

  1. Your name, Date, Biology Department

  • Bibliography - should include a typed page using proper format with all articles you currently possess

  1. a copy of the articles with the relevant protocols should also be submitted at this time

  • Protocol - a detailed protocol should be completed at this time

  1. a comprehensive experimental design with the completed calendar of experiments (all materials and methods should be included

  2. a rough draft of the materials and methods section of your thesis

  3. all information for vendors, quantity, and pricing to order supplies

Copy of the major article from which you derived your protocol
