We would like to introduce you to an exciting
program sponsored by the Upsilon Sigma Chapter of the Tri-Beta Society and the
Neuroscience Program of the Biology Department at Manhattanville College. An educational
team composed of neuroscience faculty, undergraduate majors, and MAT graduate science
teachers from Manhattanville College have developed and implemented a basic neuroscience
interactive program in topic format (our current topic is MEMORY). Typically, it will be
presented to a single class of 10-30 students within the normal 45-50 minute scheduled
class time but may be presented to a combined class for a longer period as well. A
10-minute introduction by the coordinator is followed by a rotation of students through
three ten-minute demonstration/question sessions led by the team and concludes with a
5-minute question/answer summation. Before our arrival in your classroom, we will discuss
all arrangements and details of the presentation.
This program serves as an excellent introduction to
the nervous system or related life science topic. Typically, we are able to do two
back-to-back classes on a single day, or two days in consecutive weeks (Wednesdays and
Fridays are best). If you are interested in this program, please click on
registration form and fill in the required information. You will be contacted to
make further arrangements.
Thank you for your interest in the
Manhattanville Neuroscience Outreach Program.
