About the Gallery
In Loving Memory of Arthur M. Berger A Lifelong Learner and Arts Enthusiast
Donated by his daughter Joyce Berger Cowin
The gallery, which is located in the Richard A. Berman Student Center, is approximately 900 sq ft with additional exhibition space in the buildings main lobby. Both the gallery and the lobby area are accentuated with natural light.
The shows exhibited there will primarily consist of contemporary art and artists and the gallery will also host artist talks and serve as an outreach resource. The work will be in all mediums, from painting, drawings and three dimensional work including an annex space for this summer westchester ceramic show.
The number of exhibitions per year will vary depending on what happens over the summer months, but generally speaking there will be 12 exhibits, give or take. Some will stay up longer than others.
From Charles Mcgill: “My favorite part of the gallery is the immediate access for any one coming into the building. As one walks into the new building through the main entrance, the gallery is the first room, the first set of doors a visitor will see or pass by, so the art will always draw attention, if only incidentally. Most people are curious and come in to satisfy that curiosity.”
The gallery will be a regular stop for anyone in the Westchester area who enjoys "gallery hopping". It is open 6 days a week and by appointment.
