This exhibit, created by students in Manhattanville College’s Museum Studies Program, celebrated the 40th Anniversary of the historic campus protests during the 1969-1970 academic year and highlighted the changing face of student activism on campus. Historical photographs and documents told the story of the 1969 student takeover of Brownson Hall; of the peaceful “unrest” by which students expressed their outrage over the US invasion of Cambodia in May of 1970; and finally, of the myriad of ways that today’s students make their voices heard regarding issues around the world and close to home...
