SAMUEL HUNTINGTON
PUBLIC SERVICE AWARD
Purpose:
Provides a
stipend for students committed
to serving national or world communities for one year immediately after
college graduation (before entering graduate school or a career). Public
service activities can be undertaken either individually or through an
affiliation with an established charitable, religious, educational, governmental,
or other public service organization.
Fields of Study:
Any
field of study is applicable
Eligibility:
To qualify, a candidate
must:
1)
be a graduating college senior
2)
demonstrate interest in public service
3)
be able to develop a proposal for the intended year-long public service project
Award:
| $10,000 stipend - $5,000 awarded at the start of the
project, $5,000 awarded after completion of six-month progress
report. |
Deadline:
Applications should be submitted to Dean Imma De
