NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION:
GRADUATE RESEARCH
FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
Purpose:
To
assist the graduate education of students pursuing a research-based Master's or Ph.D. degree
in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, including women in
engineering and computer and information science.
Fields of Study:
Mathematical,
physical, biological, behavioral and social sciences; engineering; the history
of science and the philosophy of science; research-based Ph.D. degrees in
Science Education; Life Sciences; Physics and Astronomy; Engineering,
Mathematical Sciences; Geosciences; Social Sciences; Computer and Information
Science and Engineering; Psychology; Chemistry
Eligibility:
Candidates
must be:
1)
a U.S. citizen or national, or permanent resident alien of U.S.
2)
committed to pursuing a degree in National Science Foundation supported field of
study, as
listed above
3)
in their Senior year of college (also prior to or during the first year of
graduate school and at the beginning of the second year of graduate
school)
Award:
- Three years of support, which may be used over a
five-year period.
- $30,000 stipend for a 12-month tenure, plus
$10,500 cost-of-living education allowance per tenure year.
