SALLIE MAE FUND 
AMERICAN DREAM SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM 

Purpose:   

In partnership with the United Negro Fund, to increase the number of African-American students attending college.

Fields of Study:

Any field is acceptable.

Eligibility: 

To qualify, a candidate must:

1)  be a US citizen

2)  be of African-American descent

3)  demonstrate financial need and receive federal Pell Grant as part of financial aid package for 2007 - 2008 acdemic year

4)  be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course of study

5)  have a minimum GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale)

Award:  

  • Scholarships range between $500 and $5,000
