SALLIE MAE FUND
FIRST IN MY FAMILY 
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Purpose: 

In partnership with the Hispanic College Fund, The Latino Education Achievement Project and the Self-Reliance Foundation, to raise awareness among the Hispanic-American community of higher education opportunities and offer financial assistance to students who are the first in their family to attend college.

Fields of Study:

            Any field is acceptable.

Eligibility: 

To qualify, a candidate must:

1)     be a U.S. citizen

2)   be of Hispanic descent

3)   be the first in their family to attend college

4)   be a full-time undergraduate student

5)   have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) 

Award:  

  • Scholarships range between $500 and $5,000

Deadline:                   

Applications should be submitted to Dean Imma De Stefanis on or before 04/09/07  Founder's G-11, gradscholarships@mville.edu
