THE MORRIS K. UDALL FOUNDATION
SCHOLARSHIP

Purpose:   

To encourage and support students who intend to pursue careers relating to the environment; to support students who intend to pursue careers in tribal public policy or Native American healthcare and are Native American or Alaska Native

Fields of Study:

Any field of study is acceptable.

Eligibility: 

To qualify, a candidate must:  

  1. be a U.S. citizen, U.S. National or U.S. Permanent Resident
  2. be a currently enrolled as a sophomore or junior and intend to study full-time during 2007-2008 Academic Year
  3. have a 3.0 GPA or better
  4. extensive record of campus and community service directly related towards environmental studies
  5. be nominated by Manhattanville College (up to 6 candidates can be nominated)

For the tribal policy or healthcare scholarships, student must be Native American or Native Alaskan.

Award:  

$5,000 and participation in annual Udall Scholars Weekend in Tucson, Arizona

Campus Deadline:
