WORLDSTUDIO AIGA SCHOLARSHIP
Purpose:
To
increase diversity in the creative professions and to foster social and
environmental responsibility in the artists, designers, and studios of tomorrow
by supporting minority and economically challenged students who are studying the
design/arts disciplines in college
Fields of Study:
Art; Fine Arts
Eligibility:
To qualify, a candidate must:
-
be a citizen
of the United States or be in possession of a Green Card
-
be pursuing
an undergraduate or graduate degree in the fine or commercial arts, design
or architecture in one of the disciplines
listed by the foundation
-
plan to
enter a career in the creative professions.

be
matriculated (or planning to matriculate) at accredited colleges and
universities in the United States for the Fall 2007/Spring 2008 academic
year and intend on maintaining full-time status for the entire year.

have at
least a 2.0 GPA.
-
provide
complete Financial Aid information on the scholarship form and have the form
signed by his/her Financial Aid Officer.

Though not a
requirement, minority status is a significant factor considered in
decisions.
Award:
Grand prize of $5,000 paid directly to institution for
tuition; basic scholarships range from $2,000 to $3,000; cash award of $100 for
honorable mentions
Campus Deadline:
Applications should be submitted to Dean Imma De Stefanis on or before 3/30/07.
