LOCATING ARTICLES CIAO Columbia International Affairs Online Columbia University's CIAO is a comprehensive source for theory and research in international affairs. It publishes a wide range of scholarship from 1991 onward that includes working papers from university research institutes, occasional papers series from NGOs, foundation-funded research projects, proceedings from conferences, books, journals and policy briefs. CIAO is also a widely-recognized source for teaching materials including original case studies written by leading international affairs experts, course packs of background readings for history and political science classes, and special features like the analysis of a bin Laden recruitment tape with video. CIAO is updated monthly. CQ Press: Historic Documents Published annually since 1972, the Historic Documents Series contains 33 volumes of primary sources. The approximately 100 documents per year range from presidential speeches, international agreements, and Supreme Court decisions to U.S. governmental reports, scientific findings, and cultural discussions. Each document is put into context. CQ Researcher provides single-themed, in-depth, unbiased, weekly news coverage of health, social trends, criminal justice, international affairs, education, the environment, technology, and the economy. The reader-friendly organization includes an introductory overview; background and chronology on the topic; an assessment of the current situation; tables and maps; pro/con positions; and bibliographies of key sources. Country Watch Country Watch covers the 192 recognized countries of the world with a series of publications for each country including demographic, political, economic, business, cultural and environmental information. CountryWireTM provides daily news coverage for every country in the world and a significant news archive. CountryWatch ForecastTM offers a five-year macroeconomic forecast for each country. Country Watch Data is an additional feature. Informe! (Revistas en Espaņol) Informe! is a Gale Group database with over three million full-text articles written in Spanish from both popular and scholarly Hispanic magazines in a variety of fields including literature and politics. Informe! also features title annotations in both English and Spanish. JSTOR journal list http://www.jstor.org/search/AdvancedSearch (Link to advanced search) JSTOR provides the full text of scholarly journals from volume one, number one. There are 28 political science journals. Scroll down to select your subject area. Lexis/Nexis Academic Universe Selecting either news, legal research, business, medical, reference, congressional, or statistical, can narrow searches on this database. There are four types of searches: Quick News Search, Guided News Search, Company Information (public and private, U.S. and international) and Get a Case, which allows you to search for a court decision using a citation or a party name. The "Search Abstracts" feature locates statistics in the publications of federal, state, and intergovernmental organizations. Project Muse Search over 300 scholarly journals for full-text articles in politics, history, law, American studies, women's studies, and related subjects.
