Global offers access to information on 60,000 + companies internationally, as well as business and executive profiles. Coverage extends to 1971. Business and Company Resource Center This collection of reference works and over four thousand periodicals brings together articles, company profiles, brand information, rankings, investment reports, company histories, and chronologies. Search this database to find detailed company and industry news and information. Business Source Premier (EBSCO) This popular business research database provides full text for more than 8,800 periodicals back to 1965 (including full text for more than 1,100 peer-reviewed business publications) and searchable cited references back to 1998. Coverage includes virtually all subject areas related to business. A variety of search methods, including Visual Search or Enhanced Business Searching Interface, provide SWOT Analyses, Company and Industry Profiles, Country Reports, and Market Research Reports. Information is updated on a daily basis. Business Knowledge Research - The Conference Board http://www.conference-board.org/ea/index.cfm The Conference Board is a global, not-for-profit organization that "creates and disseminates knowledge about management and the marketplace to help businesses strengthen their performance and better serve society." Visit the site to access the Board's research reports, in-depth analysis, and forecasts. Econlit (EBSCO) EconLit, the American Economic Association's electronic database, contains more than 735,000 records from 1969 to the present. It is a reliable source of citations and abstracts to economic research and provides links to full-text articles in all fields of economics. EconLit includes six types of records: journal articles, books, collective volume articles, dissertations, working papers, and full-text book reviews from the Journal of Economic Literature, as well as abstracts of books, journal articles, and working papers published by the Cambridge University Press. Emerald Library Emerald offers the largest collection of peer reviewed management journals. It features 110 full-text journals and reviews from the world's top 300 management journals. Hoover's Company Records Hoover's up to date editorial content covers more than 40,000 public and non-public companies and 225,000 key executives. Hoover's provides in-depth industry analyses, information on a company's history, summary financials, rankings, top competitors, top officers, products and operations, and more. JSTOR journal list http://www.jstor.org/search/AdvancedSearch (Link to advanced search) JSTOR provides the full text of scholarly journals from volume one, number one. There are a total of 29 journals in Economics and Finance. Scroll down to select your subject area. Lexis/Nexis Academic Universe Searches on this database can be narrowed by selecting either news, legal research, business, medical, reference, congressional, or statistical. There are four types of searches: Quick News Search, Guided News Search, Company Information (public and private, U.S. and international) and Get a Case, which allows you to search for a court decision using a citation or a party name. Use the "Search Abstracts" feature to search for statistics in government publications. Regional Business News (EBSCO) This database provides comprehensive full-text coverage for regional business publications. Regional Business News incorporates coverage of 75 business journals, newspapers and newswires from all metropolitan and rural areas within the United States, including Crain's New York Business (and other Crain Communications editions), and Westchester County Business Journal. This database is updated on a daily basis. Standard & Poor's Net Advantage Net Advantage provides full-text access to the following Standard and Poor's publications: Industry Surveys, Corporation Records, Stock Guide, Stock Reports, Bond Guide, Dividend Record, Register of Corporations, Directors and Executives, Earnings Guide and The Outlook. The home page features the latest numbers from the financial markets and news reports on essential business topics. Wall Street Journal Historical Newspapers (1889-1987) The Wall Street Journal (1889-1989) offers full page and article images with searchable full text back to the first issue. The collection includes digital reproductions providing access to every page from every available issue. Lexis / Nexis or ABI / Inform Global are available to search the Journal from 1987 on. INTERNET RESOURCES GlobalEDGE - Michigan State University http://globaledge.msu.edu/ Created by the Center for International Business Education and Research at Michigan State , globalEDGE(tm) is a knowledge web-portal that connects international business professionals worldwide to a wealth of information, insights, and learning resources on global business activities. Partially funded by the U.S. Department of Education, the site offers: Global Resources - more than 5,000 online resources; Country Insights - information on all countries; News & Views - latest issues in international business; Academy - extensive research and teaching resources; and Diagnostic Tools - decision-support tools for managers. The web site also provides stock quotes, charts, detailed financials and more for 8,500 U.S. public companies, and overview information on nearly 20,000 non-U.S. companies. Working Knowledge - Harvard Business School http://hbswk.hbs.edu/ Working Knowledge is a weekly news magazine from Harvard Business School with articles, reports, interviews with professors, book reviews, and access to other business news sources. Reports and articles are organized by topics such as Entrepreneurship, Finance, Globalization, Organizations, and Strategy. WEB GATEWAYS Resources for Economists on the Internet http://rfe.org/ Sponsored by the American Economic Association, this web gateway lists 2,100 resources available on the Internet that are of interest to economists and students of economics.
