The digital library includes journals, magazines, transactions, proceedings, newsletters, publications by affiliated organizations, and special interest groups. JSTOR The collection includes the complete back files of 16 mathematics journals and 20 statistics journals. It also includes a number of general science journals that have mathematical and statistical articles. MathSciNet The American Mathematical Society's comprehensive database provides bibliographic data for the world's mathematical literature since 1940 and access to reviews of books and papers. MathSciNet includes linked reference lists from selected journals and links to original articles and other original documents, when available. Science Direct Science Direct not only covers the sciences, such as biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, chemistry, computer science, environmental science, physics, psychology, and mathematics; it also covers the social sciences, arts and humanities, and business, management and accounting. In addition to its journal collection of over 2,000 titles, Science Direct includes reference works, handbooks, and book series. The collections contain 4 million articles prior to 1995, and 2.75 million articles from after 1994. Scientific American Archive (EBSCO) Scientific American is known for its understandable, authoritative reporting on every field of science. The Archive contains the entire editorial content of Scientific American from January 1993 through to the present---updated monthly. The issues are presented as PDFs. INTERNET RESOURCES American Mathematical Society http://www.ams.org/ The Society's site offers access to publications, including Mathematical Reviews (a database of nearly 2 million items covering over 60 years of mathematics literature), journals, and electronic books, as well as links to other math sites and reference tools. MAA Online: Mathematical Association of America http://www.maa.org/ MAA is directed primarily to educators and includes access to a number of journals. The Teaching and Learning section provides useful articles about teaching mathematics, and Digital Classroom Resources provides a collection of free online learning materials which have been classroom tested and peer reviewed. The MacTutor History of Mathematics Archive http://www-history.mcs.st-andrews.ac.uk/ The University of St. Andrews in Scotland has indexed the history of mathematics according to topics, countries, biographies, and famous curves. Mathematics e-Print Archive - Cornell University (arXiv) http://arxiv.org/ arXiv is an e-print service in the fields of physics, mathematics, non-linear science, computer science, and quantitative biology. The scholary work available from this database conforms to Cornell University academic standards. arXiv is owned, operated and funded by Cornell University, and partially funded by the National Science Foundation. Math Forum - Drexel University http://mathforum.org/ The Math Forum's goal is to improve math learning, teaching, and communication. The site features problems and puzzles, online mentoring, research, team problem solving, collaborations, and professional development. Mathematical Quotations Server at Furman University http://math.furman.edu/~mwoodard/mquot.html This web page points to a collection of mathematical quotations culled from many sources. WEB GATEWAYS Cornell University Mathematics Library http://www.library.cornell.edu/math/digitalization.php This portal provides an annotated bibliography of where major collections of the digital library of mathematics and statistics are being created and archived. The sites, all of which are linked, include new literature that is being born digitally and retrospective digitization of older materials. Mathematics Archives http://archives.math.utk.edu/ This portal provides links to information on math topics, teaching materials, and other mathematics related sites. PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS American Mathematical Society http://www.ams.org/ Founded in 1888 to further mathematical research and scholarship, the Society has over 30,000 individual members and 550 institutional members in the United States and around the world. Programs and services for AMS members and the mathematical community include professional programs such as meetings and conferences, surveys, employment services, and publications. Mathematical Association of America http://www.maa.org/ "The Mathematical Association of America is the largest professional society that focuses on mathematics accessible at the undergraduate level. Members include university, college, and high school teachers; graduate and undergraduate students; pure and applied mathematicians; computer scientists; statisticians; and many others in academia, government, business, and industry."
